The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) finalized changes to both Medicare physician payment and quality reporting program policies that generally take effect Jan. 1, 2020. The final rule updates the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) and alternative payment model (APM) participation options and requirements for 2020.
