Legal Issues of Vaccination Mandates 

ABOUT THE WEBINAR:

This webinar will focus on the legal issues of vaccination policies of physician practices, focusing on those that make vaccination mandatory. We will discuss the President's new order, as well as CMS and OSHA rules on vaccination. We will also address scenarios for employees that request exemptions from such a policy.

ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS:

Richard D. Sanders represents a variety of healthcare providers on a broad range of issues, including business transactions, fraud and abuse compliance (Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark), Certificate of Need (CON) issues, medical staff credentialing, Medicare reimbursement, antitrust policy, and legislative activities. He also assists providers in their relationships with federal and state regulatory agencies. After graduating from Duke University, Rich earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Emory University School of Law in 1996. Rich was rated as a “Top Rated Lawyer in HealthCare Law” and has a AV Preeminent® peer review rating from Martindale-Hubbell™. Rich currently serves on the adjunct faculty at Emory University and teaches courses in business and regulatory law. Rich is a former intelligence officer in the U.S. Navy, where he worked with an Atlanta-based unit supporting the U.S. Sixth Fleet in Naples, Italy. He and his wife Rebekah live in Atlanta and have three children.

Sarah M. Benator is a Partner at the Southern Health Lawyers where she regularly advises hospital, health center and physician practice group clients on a variety of general corporate and regulatory compliance matters. Sarah has significant experience assisting health care clients in corporate business transactions, including joint ventures and the sale or purchase of health care entities and assets. After graduating from the University of Michigan, Sarah earned her Juris Doctor degree from the Emory University.
