Adapting to the “new normal” is a continuous process of learning that has forced many healthcare organizations to rethink the way that they engage and communicate with patients throughout every clinical, operational and financial interaction. How entities best apply these learnings will depend largely on where they are on the continuum of recovery from the pandemic. It includes three distinct stages brought about by this drastic and wide-reaching event: reacting, reopening and ultimately, recovering.
