EOMGMA President, Angela Gibbs

I am excited to have this opportunity to serve as President of the Eastern Oklahoma chapter of MGMA for 2018 and 2019.

I believe in working and learning from each other, no matter what position you hold in a company.  Teamwork is the epitome for success, everyone can have highs and lows… it takes each other to stay constant.   I look forward to bringing my belief to fruition by increasing our membership and working together.

A little about me personally.  I am married to Walter (Randy) Gibbs, he is a retired U.S. Navy Seabee.  I have two adult children; Cody Page, who is employed by Warren Theatres and Chelsea Page, who graduated from University of Tulsa and is employed by Hutcherson and Westside YMCA as Ropes/ Rockwall/ Activities Director … and to keep things interesting…  Randy and I are in process of adopting our 4-year-old granddaughter.  Life gets better each day!

I am originally from Langhorne (Bucks County) Pennsylvania. (NE Suburb of Philadelphia). I am Italian and Pennsylvania Dutch… Let’s just say, I can cook!

My education includes PhD from Capella University, MBA awarded from University of Phoenix, BS from Friends University and AAS from Bucks County Community College.  I was the first in my family to graduate

I have been working in Medical Leadership roles for the past 20 years.  The one thing I love about the Medical field is that it is always changing in some way.  I am committed to innovation and continued improvements.

Too many times we can forget that our primary duty is to continue with compassion and empathy as we strive for excellence both personally and professionally to deliver our best.

To quote Walt Disney: “Of all the things I have done, the most vital is coordinating the talents of those who work for us and pointing them towards certain goals.”

To develop and equip our members to create dynamic, successful medical group practices.

To be the recognized leader in defining and supporting the profession of medical practice management in Oklahoma.
